Waffar One Real Pound

An ad that helps you save… literally.

Waffar.com is a promotions portal based in Cairo. We were asked to remind clients and consumers exactly what Waffar.com is about, and in turn drive more people to the website.

Waffar translates to “Save” in Arabic. To promote Waffar.com, we inserted a real Egyptian one pound note in 2000 copies of a magazine, with the text underneath suggesting that more can be saved by logging on. These 2000 copies were then sent to select subscribers of the magazine as well as to over 100 targeted companies. For such a small stunt, the results were fantastic with site visits increasing by 26% in comparison to the month before.
